After the opening of its first cafe in 2016, Love Brownies has now grown (to date!) to 11 locations across the UK, with multiple new locations currently in either planning or construction….
Love Brownies joined Ascentis in January 2020 after a period of growth for the company which resulted in a chaotic working environment, with the team suffering stress and feeling overwhelmed. They felt at breaking point, and something needed to change.
Victoria Parry, Financial Controller at Love Brownies spoke to us about the move to Ascentis at this time.
“It was a relief when we moved to Ascentis, we noticed an instant difference with the level of support we received. They were thorough, proactive, responsive and after years of being behind, they helped us get up to date with everything.
Then, the pandemic hit and like many others, we needed to react quickly, Ascentis was a great help, sourcing funding and providing us with the latest information and videos, supporting us through the unknown.
Previously we used Sage, and the switch to Xero they completed for us has improved everything for me. The information I get now is amazing, things are more structured and I feel in control. The Xero apps that have been integrated have been great. RecieptBank has meant no more manual invoice entry, and Deputy has meant no more paper timesheets for our many hourly workers, saving days of hard, detailed work every month. Using Projects in Xero means that we can look at each franchise and understand if it is profitable or not. We are learning from every project we do and changing how we approach the next one.
We are now more efficient and we are putting our time to better, more productive use.
